White River Beach closes the built-up coast of Peyia to the north-west: past it lie the sea caves, the St George headland and then the empty Akamas. The beach itself is a stretch of pale sand between rock shelves, quieter than Coral Bay in every season.
Behind the community rises Meletis Forest — pine walking country — while Coral Bay's supermarkets, pharmacies, schools and tavernas are minutes by car. Paphos city is about 25 minutes, the airport around 30.
